JOB DESCRIPTION:
It is the primary responsibility of the Tech Props/ Puppet to construct, maintain, and run show props and puppet elements in a safe and consistent manner for the MGM show. All duties are to be performed in accordance with departmental and MGM Grand policies, practices, and procedures.

Specific Job Functions: 

    * Construct, maintain, and run show props and puppet elements in a safe and consistent manner for the MGM show.
    * Performs other job related duties as assigned.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

    * Minimum of three (3) years experience as a professional props technician.
    * Must have in-depth experience in theatrical props for large scale productions.
    * Puppet fabrication and manipulation, wood working, fiberglass, metal working, rigging, welding, mechanical, pneumatic and electrical skills are an asset.
    * Ability to work well under pressure.
    * Physical ability to access all areas of the theatre, withstand prolonged standing, stretching, bending, kneeling, lifting and carrying items weighting up to 50 lbs. without restriction and the ability to access all areas of the facility and travel off property when representing MGM Grand Hotel.
    * High School diploma or equivalent is required, and must have a Vocational School Diploma or experience in a related field.
    * Proof of eligibility to work in the United States.
    * Must be able to communicate effectively in English, in both written and oral forms.
    * Must have interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
    * Maintain a professional, neat and well-groomed appearance, adhering to MGM Grand standards.
    * Work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
